South African Yellow Rice

Ingredients

Original recipe makes 4 servings

  1. 1 cup long grain white rice
  2. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  3. 1 1/2 teaspoons ground turmeric
  4. 3 tablespoons white sugar
  5. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  6. 1/2 cup black raisins
  7. 1 tablespoon butter
  8. 2 1/2 cups water


Directions


In a soup pot, merge the grain, sodium, turmeric extract, sugar, nutmeg, raisins, butter and water. Bring to a steam discovered.
