Apple Kheer
Apple Kheer
Generally Apple Kheer is made usually during fasts. But it can also be made during festivals or whenever we feel like having something sweet. This Kheer would be relished not just by you but the entire family as it emits cardamom’s fragrance and the sweet taste of apple and papaya making it totally irresistible!
Ingredients for Apple Kheer
· Milk(full cream) - 1 litre/5 cups
· Baking soda - ½ pinch
· Apple - 400 grams(2 apples of medium size)
· Sugar - 75 grams(1/3 cup)
· Cashew nut - 12-14
· Raisin - 20-25
· Pistachio - 7-8
· Elaichi(cardamom) - 4-5
How to make Apple Kheer
Pour milk into a kadhai with a thick base and turn on the gas. Once the milk comes to boil, stir it with the help of a spoon and boil till the level of milk decreases. Stir milk using the spoon regularly to avoid it from sticking to the base of the kadhai.
Cut cashew nuts into 7-8 pieces and leave 4 whole cashew nuts which can be used for garnishing the Kheer. Wash raisins and break off the stems. Chop pistachios evenly, peel elaichi and grind.
